Exceptional Quality of Herman Miller Cubicles

Exceptional Quality of Herman Miller CubiclesWhen you are expanding your office space, looking for cost-effective options for remodeling, or pursuing environmentally conscious green initiatives for your company, consider pre-owned and refurbished Herman Miller cubicles for unsurpassed value in office furniture systems.

Introduced in 1984, the Herman Miller Ethospace frame-and-tile high-performance workspace system was way ahead of its time and the first of its kind in the office furniture industry. Steel frames anchor the structures, accept dozens of cables and wires for power and data, and are the foundation for hang-on storage and work surfaces. Then there are the innovative tiles which come in dozens of styles and can be configured, and reconfigured, in minutes to adapt to changing work environments.

Whether you are interested in open layouts with lower panel heights and more areas designed for conversation that enable employees to easily interact and collaborate, or more traditional configurations with higher panels that give employees more privacy and storage space, Ethospace cubicles give you the freedom to create the appearance, feel and efficiency that you need.

Who Is Herman Miller?

Herman Miller was the businessman father-in-law of D.J. De Pree, a young man who had been hired as a clerk by the Michigan Star Furniture Company in Zeeland, Michigan, in 1909. The company manufactured high-quality home furniture. In 1923, De Pree convinced his father-in-law to help him buy the furniture company and then named the company after him.

Working with legendary designers George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames, the Herman Miller Furniture Company gained recognition for its modern furniture designs. Two of the most notable were the Eames Molded Plywood Chair, introduced in 1946, which was named the “Best Design of the 20th Century” by Time magazine in 2000, and the Eames Lounge Chair and ottoman, constructed of molded plywood and leather, which was introduced in 1956 and has become one of the most recognized furniture designs of the 20th century. These designs are still in production.

Herman Miller was also at the forefront of creating work environments that solved problems for people with innovative designs. In 1968, the company introduced the Action Office system, the revolutionary modular system of panels and desks designed by Robert Propst. This was the beginning of the cubicle office systems we enjoy today.
